- Understanding your value proposition
- Don't be afraid to pivot to other opportunities if you think they will help further your career
- Knowing the difference between a 'mediocre' and a 'genuinely stretching' career opportunity
- Acknowledging that 'value' doesn't need to be something gargantuan(!) to be valuable - value often comes in small actions
- Getting the support you need to achieve your ambitions
- Driving the outcomes of your career (rather than waiting for them to happen)
